Product Description

Monster Bass Traps in action

GIK Acoustics is proud to offer the Monster Bass Trap – the most effective panel ever to hit the market, raising the bar for bass traps.  The design of the GIK Monster Bass Trap allows it to be used in multiple quantities to absorb as much bass as possible without over absorbing the high end, which leaves life inside the room.

With the Monster Bass Trap, low end becomes clearer making it easier mix. No more guessing on bass levels during mix down. No more hassles trying to clean up nasty nulls and spikes that are common in all rooms. With new certified lab tests, the Monster Bass Trap has a rating of 24 Sabins per unit. There is no other product on the market that even comes close.

Monster Bass Traps come with a wire in the back and can be mounted like a picture frame on the wall. If you wish to straddle the bass trap in a corner (highly recommended).  Click HERE to view instructional mounting video. And click HERE to view the product video.

WANT TO ADD BUILT-IN SCATTERING / DIFFUSORS TO YOUR PANELS?

Broadband treatments offer great performance with an attractive price and when coupled with diffusion and scattering, can give your room a completely balanced sound throughout, without over-dampening high frequencies.

The GIK Acoustics built-in Scatter Plate option allows even decay time from low to high frequencies while providing the necessary space for absorption to flatten the frequency response. Read more about the new GIK Acoustics Scatter Plate here.

After adding GIK Acoustics Monster Bass Trap to your cart, you can then select Scatter Plate from the Diffusion Products menu and have them built into your Monster Bass Trap for only $49.00 per panel.

BOOM STAND BRACKETS

Instead of mounting the panel on the wall, we offer our Boom Stand Brackets. Installing these brackets on the panel allows it to attach to any boom stand turning your 242 Acoustic Panel into a gobo or a portable vocal booth. For only $12 each you can add increased flexibility to our acoustic panels. (Boom stand not included.) Click here to add boom stand brackets to your order.

CUSTOM METAL STANDS

Another alternative that adds flexibility to the Monster Bass Trap are our Custom Metal Stands. Our metal stands are modern, contemporary and powder coated for greater durability. Complete your GIK Acoustics order with our free standing custom metal stands. Looks great and provides flexibility! Click here to add custom metal stands to your order.

Test Results

GIK Acoustic Panels are tested and certified by the Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories (RAL) Sound Absorption and Sound Absorption Coefficients by the Reverberation Room Method ASTM C 423-02/NVLAP 08/P03 GIK Acoustics panels submitted to two standard acoustic test methods: corner mount and wall mount testing. "J" testing simulates the recommended mounting of the product by the manufacturer. GIK tested two set-ups: 1) panels straddled in corners 2) panels spaced off the wall and mounted on stands.
